Looking the part with aluminium accessories

So, you’d like to be a proper trades-person? And by ‘proper’, we mean ‘close to’. When it comes to doing things around the house, there’s really nothing quite like getting things done yourself, with the right tools and know how. Provided you have the right equipment, there’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to tackle the tough jobs yourself. To properly look the part, and for a few great pieces of equipment you can’t do without, you might want to consider the following:

  1. An aluminium ute toolbox. Melbourne weather can be unpredictable, best to keep your tools safe and dry. If there’s one thing more important than your tools, it’s what you use to carry them. You can’t just pile up your equipment in a heap in the corner, and you can’t just carry them in your arms from place to place. No, you’ll need a sturdy box to lug it all around, preferably one with trays for separating the goods. Once you have the aluminium toolbox, then you can start with your tool collection, so it’s an important first step. Make sure you keep it clean and tidy. An organised toolbox makes life much easier on the job.
  2. The next thing you’ll need is a sturdy pair of overalls. You won’t use them for every job, but if you’re planning on doing any welding or any other kind of dangerous activity that could involve slag and/or debris, you’ll need some protection. Let’s face it, being a trades-person can be a dirty job. You’ll frequently get covered in dirt and grease, stain that you won’t want on your clothes. Overalls are a great way to look the part and protect your clothing at the same time.
  3. 3. Finally, you’ll want a good set of aluminium accessories. With a proper set of them at your side, you’ll pretty much be ready for anything, and a bulk lot will cover most of your basic tool needs. You’ll need a broad range if you want to complete any job you come up against, but once you have your collection established, there’ll be no job too big or too small.
